Machine Learning Engineer for Complex Optical Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a Research Scientist in Machine Learning for Autonomous Systems. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative project focused on automating alignment processes for complex optical systems using machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct scientific research and analysis to develop and implement machine learning algorithms for autonomous alignment processes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to design and develop experimental and theoretical models.
- Implement experiments, theoretical models, and data analysis to achieve project goals.
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of experimental facilities and liaise with external collaborators.
- Contribute to teaching and outreach activities, including lab and tutorial demonstrations, and public talks.
- PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Theoretical Physics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Computer Science.
- Significant experience in programming, data processing, and machine learning.
- Ability to articulate research work through written technical reports, academic publishing, and oral presentation.
- Ability to learn new digital skills and capabilities appropriate to the role.
- Experience working in a team environment and contributing to collaborative projects.
