Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents to provide a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance.
  • Financial Analysis: Measure the company's financial performance based on financial records, identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management.
  • Financial Communication: Communicate and interpret financial data to non-financial managers, ensuring that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the company's financial situation.
  • Bank Management: Maintain the bank accounts, except for flight and forex transactions, and code the main bank transactions and post all cash books that relate to the bank, PDQs, and allocate guest payments.
  • Cash Management: Process till incomes and manage the cash banked weekly, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Utility Management: Enter utility accruals and post revenue, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • System Management: Procure Wizard uploads – weekly, and maintain domestic and non-domestic rates, licences, and staff properties, overseeing costs and liaising with HR at Payroll year-end.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage the Accounts Receivable inbox, ensuring that all customer payments are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Perform monthly Balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • System Liaison: Liaise with point-of-sale, accounting software, and other system vendors, bank, and consultants, ensuring that all financial systems are accurately integrated and functioning correctly.
  • Financial Integrity: Ensure the integrity of the accounts in Access Financials and creation of new authorised accounts, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Financial Reporting: Run statistical reports and analysis when required, assisting in month and year-end audits and financial reporting processes, and posting monthly journals.
  • Financial Review: Review relevant codes to ensure postings are correct and amend if necessary, analysing sales against expenses and investigating any anomalies.
  • Capex Management: Process Capex requests, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Compliance: Ensure all SOPs are followed to maintain appropriate controls and mitigate risk, adhering to all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Management Accountant, preferably in the travel industry, is essential for this role.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders are required for this role.
  • Additional Skills: Previous experience in discounted cash flows, business production processes, financial data processing, and bookkeeping is also helpful for this role.
