Senior Assistant Psychologist

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the MK Community Mental Health Hub Therapies Pathway as a Senior Assistant Psychologist. The successful candidate will be a fully integrated member of the multidisciplinary team, working alongside qualified and experienced Psychologists and other members of the team to assist with service improvement and psychoeducational groups.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the professional psychological care of service users within the Milton Keynes Community Mental Health Hub Therapies Pathway. This will involve working in conjunction with the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) members to support service users and qualified health professionals in the delivery of evidenced-based psychological interventions.
Requirements
- Good honours degree in psychology (2:1 or above)
- Eligibility for graduate membership of the BPS
- Previous experience working therapeutically with people experiencing mental health problems
- Previous experience of working as a paid Assistant Psychologist in a community setting
- Experience of delivering individual psychological assessments/formulations/interventions in a mental health setting
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team

The MK Community Mental Health Hub Therapies Pathway delivers a pathway model for people with diagnoses of Complex Trauma, Personality Disorder, Complex Mood and Anxiety Disorders. The team delivers a range of evidence-based interventions as recommended by NICE Guidance.
