Risk Division Overview

The Risk Division plays a critical role in identifying, monitoring, and managing the firm's financial and non-financial risks. As a key component of the firm's risk management framework, the Risk Division operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, utilizing best-in-class risk tools and frameworks.

Risk Engineering Role

Risk Engineering is a central part of the Risk Division, responsible for providing robust metrics, data-driven insights, and effective technologies for risk management. As a member of Risk Engineering, you will interface with various divisions around the firm and regional offices, working on diverse projects that offer a challenging and multi-dimensional work environment.

Liquidity Risk Applications

The Liquidity Risk Application role is part of the Risk Engineering group, focusing on digital transformation, increasing operational efficiency through automation, reducing technical debt, and developing highly scalable and reliable applications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building disruptive solutions using cutting-edge technologies with measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Understanding business needs, facilitating and developing process workflow, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation.
  • Developing technical specifications, high-level/detailed design, testing strategies, and implementation plans from business requirements.
  • Managing end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing, UAT, and maintenance.
  • Building strong relationships with business partners and front-line risk managers.
  • Leading talented software engineers who are passionate about identifying patterns and building common solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1-3 years' experience working in a risk technology team in another bank or financial institution. Experience in liquidity risk technology is a plus.
  • Experience with one or more major relational/object databases.
  • Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design, and core programming concepts.
  • Comfortable with working with multiple programming languages.
  • An understanding of compute resources and the ability to interpret performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and experience in working through the entire life cycle of the project from start to end.
