About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our CAMHS service, specializing in ADHD support for children and young people. This is a new post that requires drive and enthusiasm to develop the role alongside the Occupational Therapy Team Lead and ADHD CAMHS team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and intervene with children and young people with possible ADHD
  • Work closely with the Occupational Therapy Team Lead and ADHD CAMHS team to develop the role
  • Provide therapy and support to children and families in community settings across Dumfries and Galloway
  • Collaborate with health, education, and community services to ensure multi-agency practice
  • Be flexible and able to prioritize and manage time effectively
Requirements
  • Essential: car driver, as extensive travel will be required due to the geography of the region
  • Desirable: experience working with children and young people with ADHD, knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
