Accountancy Practice Manager

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency in Kent, is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join a reputable firm of chartered accountants in East Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression, with partnership on offer in the near future for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounts, tax, and VAT, with experience in managing a client portfolio and leading client meetings. They will also have the ability to motivate a team and support junior staff.
The firm offers a competitive salary and remuneration package, including a highly competitive salary in the region of £50,000-£60,000, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, and a competitive pension. The firm also promotes a relaxed working environment and offers opportunities for professional development.
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or have equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a practice environment. They will have hands-on experience in accounts, tax, and VAT, and be proficient in Cloud Accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a varied client portfolio, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met.
- Review and preparation of annual accounts, VAT, payroll, tax returns, and other statutory requirements.
- Lead client meetings, answering any queries and proactively offering support.
- Assist with general tax planning, working closely with the team.
- Supporting junior members of staff.
- Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a practice environment.
- Hands-on experience in accounts, tax, and VAT.
- Proficient in Cloud Accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
