### Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Development Underwriter to join our team and contribute to the growth of our mid-market commercial insurance business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, working closely with our General Insurance Sales Force and Service Centre.

### Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain relationships with our tied Agency Network and Sales teams to identify new business opportunities
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide clear direction on NFUM Underwriting strategy and Risk Appetite
* Work collaboratively with cross-divisional teams to support the development of new business pipelines
* Attend client visits as required and gain increased exposure to various risks
* Underwrite your own personal caseload and provide first-class customer service

### Requirements

* Property & Liability Commercial underwriting experience within the mid-market space
* Experience of successfully building and managing relationships
* Confident communicator with experience of leading and influencing discussions and decisions with integrity
* Development Underwriting experience/Proven business development experience (desirable)
* Dip CII or equivalent qualification (desirable)

### Benefits and Rewards

We offer a competitive salary of £44,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, plus an annual bonus (up to 17.5% of salary), contributory pension scheme, and a range of other benefits including 25 days annual leave, buy/sell/save holiday trading scheme, and access to savings at High Street brands.
