Electrical Product Design Engineer

Meet is a pioneering company in the diagnostic solutions industry, specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of cutting-edge diagnostic solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Product Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end product design process, from concept through to manufacturing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the design and development of microprocessor-controlled electronic circuits and embedded software environments.
  • Ensure compliance with FCC, EMC, CE, UKCA, and CB Scheme standards through rigorous design and testing.
  • Specialize in optoelectronics, PID temperature control, and related circuitry design to drive innovation.
  • Conduct thorough reliability testing and ensure robust product design for manufacturability, usability, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Achieve IVD/medical product compliance for European and USA markets through meticulous design and testing.
  • Manage test protocols, test studies scope, and coordination with external test houses to ensure seamless execution.
  • Utilize Altium or other schematic capture packages for electronic design to streamline the process.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously with minimal supervision to drive productivity.
  • Ensure product design adheres to standards including 61010-1, 61010-2-101, European and FCC EMC standards, ISO13485, and IVDR to maintain regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end product design, from concept to manufacturing, with a strong focus on electrical engineering.
  • Proficient in electronic design for FCC, EMC, CE, UKCA, and CB Scheme compliance, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in the design, assembly, and debugging of microprocessor-controlled electronic circuits and embedded software environments, with a strong emphasis on reliability and testing.
  • Knowledgeable in optoelectronics, PID temperature control, and related circuitry design, with a focus on driving innovation and excellence.
  • Familiar with reliability testing techniques and methodologies to ensure robust product design.
  • Experience working in a small company environment, with a strong ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic setting.
  • Expertise in achieving IVD/medical product compliance for European and USA markets, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on productivity and efficiency.
  • Self-directed with strong technical project management skills and minimal supervision, with a focus on driving results and excellence.
  • Experience in regulated product development, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Familiar with product design standards such as 61010-1, 61010-2-101, European and FCC EMC standards, ISO13485, and IVDR, with a focus on maintaining regulatory compliance.
