At First Choice Selection Services, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Whiteabbey Hospital in Newtownabbey. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to patients and staff.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of £11.67, working part-time hours of 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 4pm.

About the Role

This is a temporary position for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of meals for wards and canteen
  • Catering for dietary requirements and ensuring food safety standards are met
  • Performing stock rotations and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

  • City & Guilds 706/1 or NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation
  • Two years' experience as an Assistant Cook or Cook in the public or private sector
  • Level 2 Safety in Catering Certificate
