Head of Property Development

We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive the growth of our Building Surveying Department. As the Head of Building Surveying, you will be responsible for developing strategic plans, recruiting a team, and establishing operational frameworks that align with our company's overall vision.
About the Role:This role provides autonomy to define the department's direction, including shaping service offerings, driving business development, and ensuring successful project delivery. You will collaborate with other senior leaders to deliver integrated solutions across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Department Leadership: Develop and lead the Building Surveying Department, setting the strategic direction and overseeing all operational activities.
- Team Development: Build and manage a high-performing team of surveyors, mentoring junior staff and fostering professional development.
- Business Development: Drive the department's growth by establishing strong relationships with new and existing clients, and delivering high-quality consultancy services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Cost Consultants, Interior Designers, and Development Managers to deliver holistic solutions across sectors.
- Project Oversight: Oversee and manage building surveying projects from inception through to completion, ensuring adherence to client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all surveying activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Chartered status (MRICS) or equivalent, extensive experience in building surveying, and a proven track record of success in business development and client relationship management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are also essential.
