Role Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher to join our team at Remedy Education. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students, creating a positive learning environment, and supporting the school's mission to provide a high-quality education.


Key Responsibilities



  • Plan and deliver innovative and effective science lessons, aligned with the National Curriculum, to students of varying abilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different learning styles, incorporating demonstrations, hands-on activities, group work, and individual projects
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and set achievable goals to support their academic development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas to improve teaching and learning
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records, update student records, and participate in staff meetings and training events

Requirements



  • Outstanding knowledge of science as a National Curriculum subject, covering the core disciplines of physics, chemistry, and biology
  • Ability to plan and design engaging lessons and projects using a variety of teaching methods
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm to motivate students to enjoy the subject, work hard, and achieve their best in science
  • Good communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to inspire a positive attitude in students and colleagues
  • Dedication to providing a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
  • Competence in the use of various computer systems and software packages, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Classrooms
  • Holds a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
