Job Description

Transforming Education for Young People with SEND

We are seeking qualified SEN / SEND tutors to provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning sessions, providing flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring, and promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people.

Requirements
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Ability to work in a way that promotes the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
