About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Site Operative at our busy household recycling centre. As a Site Operative, you will play a vital role in assisting the general public in recycling their household waste, promoting health and safety across the site, and providing an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the site is safe and secure, reporting any health and safety issues to management
  • Promote health and safety by wearing a body-camera to ensure site safety for yourself and customers
  • Use digital devices to make bookings, send vouchers, and take electronic payments for chargeable waste
  • Keep the site clean and safe, reinforcing site rules to customers
  • Sweep, litter pick, and clean up spillages to ensure a safe site for colleagues and customers
  • Provide an excellent customer experience, informing customers of the recycling facility duties
