About the Role

Commercial Services Group is seeking a skilled Plant Operative to join our Waste and Recycling Centre in Swanley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating the plant safely and efficiently, ensuring the machines are well-maintained and clean.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate plant machinery in accordance with company policies and site procedures
  • Conduct pre-use inspections of the plant before and after each shift, logging any faults and reporting them to site management
  • Take reasonable care of yourself and others while working on site, reporting any health and safety issues to the site manager/supervisor
  • Provide an excellent customer experience, informing customers of the recycling facilities and controlling traffic on site

Requirements

  • NPORS, ITSSAR or equivalent accredited body operative competence certificate to operate a wheeled Materials handler with elevating cab
  • Good knowledge, approach, and understanding of health and safety
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility is key – we're open 7 days a week, must be able to commit to Saturdays and Sundays
