Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operative to join our team at Commercial Services Group. As a key member of our Waste and Recycling Centre team, you will be responsible for operating plant machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate plant machinery in accordance with company policies and site procedures
  • Conduct pre-use inspections of plant machinery before and after each shift, logging any faults and reporting them to site management
  • Take reasonable care of yourself and others whilst working on site, reporting any health and safety issues to site management
  • Maintain a clean site throughout, enforcing all site rules for visitors and handling spillages in accordance with procedures
  • Provide an excellent customer experience, informing customers of recycling facilities and directing any complaints to management

Requirements

  • NPORS, ITSSAR or equivalent accredited body operative competence certificate to operate a wheeled Materials handler with elevating cab
  • Good knowledge, approach and understanding of health and safety
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility is key – we're open 7 days per week, must be able to commit to Saturdays and Sundays
  • Hardworking, friendly and approachable
