Job Title: Day Support Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Day Services team at Powys County Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing daily support to service users with learning disabilities, operating from day service bases and in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to service users, implementing individual care plans and day service programmes.
- Work under the direction of the Assistant Day Services Manager and Day Activity Manager.
- Keep accurate documentation as required.
- Administer prescribed medication to service users in accordance with Day Services Medication Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in supervision and support worker team meetings.
- Undertake QCF Level II in Care and other mandatory training as required.
- Assist in the transportation of service users as required.
About You:
- Positive attitude to supporting people with learning disabilities to meet their aspirations and needs.
- Positive attitude to working as part of a team.
- Ability to recognise own strengths and needs.
- Committed to the development of practice and services which promote equality and respect diversity.
