Day Support Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing daily support to individuals with learning disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will work under the direction of the Assistant Day Services Manager and Day Activity Manager to deliver high-quality care and support services.

About You:

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to promoting equality and respect for diversity. You will be able to work as part of a team, recognize your own strengths and needs, and be committed to the development of practice and services that promote equality and respect for diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to service users in the implementation of individual care plans and day service programmes.
  • Keep accurate documentation as required.
  • Administer prescribed medication to service users in accordance with the Day Services Medication Policies and Procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Participate in supervision and support worker team meetings.
  • Undertake QCF Level II in Care and other mandatory training as required.
  • Assist in the transportation of service users as required.
