About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Bath and North East Somerset Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the team leader with the day-to-day running and development of the team in accordance with the Council's Vision and Values, policy, and other objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planting, pruning, and seeding of various plants and flowers
  • Hedge trimming and grass cutting in parks, open spaces, and verges
  • Strimming, leaf blowing, and raking to maintain the area's appearance
  • Setting out and marking sports areas, as well as upkeep of pitches (artificial and natural)
  • Propagation and nursery care of plants, including site preparation and manual litter picking
  • Emptying litter and recycling bins, and replacing liners
  • Using electronic mobile devices to record work and log any issues

Working Hours: The successful candidate will typically work from March to October, with some flexibility depending on the weather. We offer enhancements for weekend and Bank Holiday working.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: The role will be based at Royal Victoria Park, Bath, Station Road, Keynsham, or Radstock Road depot.
