About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team at Rushcliffe Care Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of IPC strategies across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the lead contact for all services to improve IPC knowledge and practices, especially for health and social care workers.
  • Developing and overseeing the IPC Delivery Plan, ensuring its effective implementation and monitoring.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and improve IPC standards, reporting key issues and necessary actions to the Board of Directors.
  • Applying expertise in dealing with complex issues across various situations and settings.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional with a strong background in IPC, who can lead and motivate the IPC team to achieve excellence in infection prevention and control.

Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • Critical analysis skills to interpret research and guidance.
  • Data analysis skills for the collection and interpretation of surveillance data.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Policy writing, implementation, and evaluation skills.
  • Programme development skills.
  • Experience of use of infection control audit tools and report writing.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • IT literacy across a range of applications.

Requirements

The successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence and/or own transport, with mileage paid.
