Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automation and Controls Engineering Graduate to join our Operational Excellence Team at Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions (SGIS). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our Operational Excellence strategy, promoting and deploying World Class manufacturing techniques, and developing a continuous improvement culture across the business.

About the Role:

This graduate role will be part of the Operational Excellence team who supports the operations of the manufacturing plants across the SGIS network. You will implement improvement projects, manage obsolescence across the manufacturing sites, gain common standards for software code and control equipment, and work closely with the process and quality teams to improve our manufacturing capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of new technologies and innovations that may be adopted to improve automation and controls
  • Lead projects, from organizing the resources required for completion and managing budgets
  • Manage obsolescence across our manufacturing sites
  • Prepare and manage documentation, including tenders, wiring diagrams, risk assessments, and functional descriptions
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and liaise with contractors

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in Automation and Controls, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science / Software Engineering, or a similar relevant subject
  • Conscientious, motivated individual with excellent communication skills and an enquiring mind
  • Ability to analyze data
