Job Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Student Learning: Assist students with literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills development, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Personal Care and Well-being: Attend to students' personal care needs, following their individual Care Plans, and promote positive behavior.
  • Classroom Support: Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities, monitor and record student responses and achievements, and assist in implementing educational and care programs.
  • Resource Management: Select and maintain appropriate resources and specialist equipment, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with staff and other professionals, providing necessary student information, and supervise students during breaks and educational visits.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and be willing to satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
