About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the care of children and young people with complex mental health needs and their families.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice and support to a wide-ranging workforce on all aspects of safeguarding children
- Leading and working with other members of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team and with colleagues from other services
- Providing professional expertise in the assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care for children and young people in CAMHS
- Supporting the Dudley CAMHS Duty and SPA rota system
- Providing professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team
Person Specification
We are looking for an individual with:
- A recognised professional qualification and registration in CAMHS-related subject
- A degree/equivalent experience in CAMHS-related field
- Evidence of continuous professional development in mental health-related field
- Extensive experience of working in specialist CAMHS or equivalent transferable skills
- Extensive post-qualification experience of care co-ordination and management of complex CAMHS caseloads
- Experience of supervising junior staff
