Teaching and Learning Facilitator

- Salary: £14.28 per hour (£28,500 - £35,000 per annum).
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time only.
- Job Type: Permanent, Full Time.
Job Summary:
This role involves supporting teaching staff in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to children with special educational needs.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the welfare and safety of pupils according to school policies, including safeguarding and PREVENT guidelines.
- Teaching Support: Assist in delivering lessons and providing individualised support to pupils as needed.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils to promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assessment and Feedback: Assist teachers in gathering and recording evidence of pupils' attainment and progress, and provide feedback to pupils.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
- GCSEs at grade C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) or above in English and Maths
- Knowledge and experience working with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD pupils
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
- Experience managing a range of behaviours, including those that challenge
- Experience within an educational setting is advantageous
- Experience working in a multicultural, inclusive environment.
