About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Youth Worker to join our team at Colchester United Community Foundation. As a Community Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mentoring sessions, creating engaging content for mentors, and supporting various health and inclusion programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver mentoring sessions within schools and community settings, providing crucial support to students and participants facing various challenges.
  • Create high-quality content for mentors to deliver, ensuring a unified approach to program implementation.
  • Support the management of relationships with schools, community organizations, and external partners to enhance the reach and impact of our programs.
  • Contribute to securing resources and funding opportunities for future program development, suggesting new initiatives or improvements to existing projects.
Requirements
  • Youth Mental Health First Aider qualification or willingness to complete.
  • Experience in youth work, mentoring, or a similar role within education or community settings.
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Willingness to undertake a CUFC Enhanced DBS Check.
  • Willingness to or already completed FA Safeguarding Children Certificate.
  • Full UK Driving License.
