Junior Sous Chef - Exeter

You'll be part of a dynamic kitchen team at Loungers, where we're passionate about serving high-quality food made with fresh ingredients. As a Junior Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver exceptional dishes every day.


Your key responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, cooking to spec, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. You'll work closely with the team to ensure seamless service and high standards are met.

What we're looking for:

  • You're probably an existing Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Chef looking to take the next step in your career.
  • You'll ideally have experience working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices).
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Self-motivated to work at pace, with limited supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of best practice when it comes to all things Allergens, kitchen essentials, and Food Safety.
