Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Sales Engineer to promote and sell our innovative range of metal cutting tools to both end users and distributors. The successful candidate will have a unique understanding of the manufacturing industry across various sectors and will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients in the area or region they live in.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Promotion: Promote and sell our innovative range of metal cutting tools to both end users and distributors.
  • Customer Engagement: Listen to customers and sales project teams to understand underlying needs and ensure suitable technical solutions are delivered to secure profitable business.
  • Sales Growth: Increase sales and volume of end users of our products.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and develop new leads, as well as follow up on leads generated from internal teams.
  • Marketing Support: Work alongside colleagues and management to coordinate and deliver marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and promotional events.
  • CRM Management: Document cost-saving activity and daily use/update of the CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a cutting tool sales engineer, or an applications engineer.
  • Background: Proven background within business-to-business sales of technical products, ideally with cutting tools.
  • Negotiation Skills: Confident negotiation skills, and ability to present to businesses at stakeholder level.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Technical Skills: Efficient user of Microsoft 365 including TEAMS, and our CRM system for recording pipeline of new business.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license.
