Unlock Your Sales Potential as a Field Sales Engineer

WR Engineering is seeking an experienced Field Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Field Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in the OEMs and manufacturing sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and sales experience, preferably in a field sales role. You will be proactive in generating new business opportunities and working closely with your sales manager to develop sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Selling high-value orders to OEMs and manufacturers in the automotive, materials handling, machine builders, and industrial engineering sectors.
  2. Identifying new business opportunities through customer visits and developing sales strategies to grow your patch.
  3. Working closely with your sales manager to achieve sales targets and develop your skills as a sales engineer.
  4. Solutions selling non-standard products and selling a comprehensive range of off-the-shelf products.

Requirements:

  1. Essential Qualification: HNC/HND or degree in a mechanical engineering subject.
  2. Sales experience: Field sales experience preferred; we are open to highly motivated individuals looking for a break into technical field sales.
  3. Beneficial knowledge: One of the following: hydraulics, pneumatics, springs, linear motion, bearings, couplings, engineered metal or rubber components.
  4. Full UK driving licence.
