Job Title: Homeless Housing Coordinator

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a highly skilled Homeless Housing Coordinator to join their team in East London. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing homelessness casework, collaborating with legal teams and partners to prevent homelessness, and supporting vulnerable individuals and families in securing sustainable housing solutions.

About the Role:

As a Homeless Housing Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering key strategic objectives, including:

  • Providing specialist homelessness casework to applicants, ensuring compliance with housing legislation and local policies.
  • Creating and managing Personal Housing Plans (PHP) tailored to individual applicants' needs.
  • Offering advice on housing, welfare rights, and homelessness prevention strategies.
  • Collaborating with legal teams, courts, and solicitors to challenge possession orders and prevent evictions.
  • Representing the council in court, presenting cases to defend or challenge homelessness decisions.
About You:

The successful candidate will have significant experience in providing specialist homelessness casework to applicants with complex needs, as well as experience working collaboratively with partners and agencies to improve outcomes for homeless individuals and families. You will also have experience in carrying out casework in line with housing legislation, policies, and strategies at national, regional, and local levels.

What's on Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £22+ph, with the possibility of negotiating a higher rate for exceptional candidates. The contract type is 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension. You will work Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
