Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Police Sergeant to join our Investigation Teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of investigators, working closely with colleagues to ensure the effective management of investigations and contributing to the development of strategies to tackle crime in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

About the Role

The Police Sergeant will be responsible for managing a caseload of investigations, working collaboratively with other teams within the force to share information and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead a team of detectives in the investigation of crimes, ensuring that all investigative activities are conducted in accordance with force policies and procedures.
  • To work closely with colleagues across the force to share best practices and develop new approaches to tackling crime.
  • To contribute to the development of strategies to tackle crime in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, including identifying areas of high crime activity and developing plans to reduce it.

The estimated salary for this role is £38,428 - £44,559 per annum.

Requirements
  • A Competent Sergeant with PIP2 qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
