Assistant Service Manager Opportunity in Ystradgynlais, Powys

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Assistant Service Manager to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs in Ystradgynlais, Powys. As an Assistant Service Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Manager and team, ensuring the safety and well-being of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Plan rotas, manage staff teams, and ensure compliance within the service.
  • Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensure the safety of the service users and follow care plans for each individual.
  • Take service users out into the community and participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker Experience.
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to the location.
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
