As a seasoned HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving business success within our Venues division. Collaborating closely with the retail operations team, you will develop and execute a people strategy that aligns with and supports our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive people strategy that drives employee engagement and supports business objectives.
  • Work in partnership with the retail operations team to ensure effective plans are in place to drive employee engagement and support the implementation of engagement surveys.
  • Attend HR meetings and retail operations meetings, providing a link between HR best practice and the needs of the operation.
  • Support the recruitment, retention, and development of talent within the retail estate, focusing on management roles.
  • Advise and assist local management on recruitment processes reflective of our culture and employer branding to attract a diverse candidate pool.
  • Work with operational management to ensure robust succession plans are in place for key management roles, engaging other HR colleagues as appropriate.
  • Support the delivery of learning and development plans as agreed by operational management, engaging other HR colleagues as appropriate.
  • In line with our performance management system and employee appraisal scheme, support and ensure the completion of performance reviews for all employees and management.
  • Analyse key people metrics, working with the operations team to identify issues and improve performance.
  • Provide advice to operational management to ensure compliance with company policy and legal requirements on relevant employment matters.
  • Consult with employees/management as appropriate in redundancy/re-deployment situations arising from unit closures and carry out the required accompanying administration.
  • Advise, guide, coach, support and develop managers on the application of HR policy/procedures such as disciplinary and grievance investigations, absence management, Tribunal cases, etc., obtaining business feedback to ensure understanding.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of HR, with solid employment law knowledge.
  • Experience of working in HR in a retail, leisure, or hospitality, fast-paced environment.
  • Background in multi-site/regional/field-based role.
  • Experience across a wide range of HR disciplines i.e., business partnering, reward, recruitment, learning and development, employee relations.
