Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team in KFC Europe. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the equipment procurement process across the region, ensuring that we achieve the best possible value for our business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive equipment procurement strategy that aligns with KFC's business objectives.
- Manage relationships with key equipment suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring that we achieve the best possible prices.
- Lead the analysis of supplier and contract performance, identifying opportunities to reduce spend and improve execution.
- Partner with Global Equipment Procurement to develop and implement a tier 1 equipment strategy.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and track projects, ensuring that we deliver benefits to the business.
- Support the definition of the category and sourcing strategy that delivers on short- and long-term goals.
- Own the 'Build Smarter' (Cost optimization) for equipment spend.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract meaningful conclusions from data.
- Proven experience of working collaboratively in complex stakeholder environments.
- Proven experience of outside-the-box thinking and comfort in challenging the status quo.
- Proven experience in understanding contract KPIs and successfully driving supplier performance.
- Procurement or Supply Chain experience.
- Ideally, experience in a food service/FMCG or retail environment.
- Ideally, 2+ years' experience in an equipment/CAPEX/construction/engineering role.
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Quick to learn and apply new knowledge.
- Values action over activity.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective team worker.
- Strong drive for results and ambitious to grow and develop within the organization.
- Flexible, hybrid working with our Restaurant Support Centre located in Woking, Surrey.
