Planning Lawyer Opportunity

BTA is seeking a skilled Planning Lawyer to join their team in Cambridge. As a Planning Lawyer, you will support the firm's planning services, working on a variety of matters such as drafting and negotiating key infrastructure agreements, overseeing project appraisals and development processes, and conducting due diligence on funding matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating key infrastructure agreements
  • Overseeing project appraisals and development processes
  • Conducting due diligence on funding matters
  • Managing planning appeals and judicial reviews
  • Advising on enforcement actions and certificates of lawfulness
  • Addressing public rights of way issues, including diversion orders and map modification
  • Assisting with Compulsory Purchase Orders

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in a planning law role
  • Strong communication skills with a client-first approach
  • A proactive individual eager to contribute to the growth and development of the planning team
  • Capable of delivering strategic and practical advice tailored to client needs
