Animal Behaviour Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Animal Behaviour Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Dogs Trust.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the behavioural and welfare assessments of dogs in our Rehoming Centre. This will involve implementing management, training, and behaviour modification programmes for dogs, working closely with our behaviour teams to ensure their optimal welfare.
You will supervise other Canine Carers, keep accurate records of assessments and training programmes, and support members of the public with individual dogs' training programmes. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be liaising with potential adopters and customers on a daily basis.
A strong understanding of dog behaviour is crucial for this position, including the ability to read canine body language, facial expressions, and vocalisations. You will also need to be highly organised and able to work methodically, adopting detailed approaches to working practices and record-keeping.
What You Need to KnowA full manual driving licence is required for this role, as driving will be a part of your duties. A salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum is available, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be committed to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust and have a passion for animal welfare.
