About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Rehabilitation Trainer to join our team at Dogs Trust. As a key member of our Rehoming Centre, you will play a vital role in the behavioural and welfare assessments of dogs, ensuring they receive the best possible care and preparation for their forever homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our management and behaviour teams to develop and implement effective management, training, and behaviour modification programmes for dogs.
  • Supervise and support our Canine Carers in ensuring the optimal welfare of dogs in the centre.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, training programmes, and progress of dogs in training.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to members of the public with individual dogs' training programmes, pre-adoption talks, and general rehoming.
About You

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong understanding of dog behaviour, including the ability to read canine body language, facial expressions, and vocalisations. You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable liaising with potential adopters and customers, and highly organised with a methodical approach to working practices.
