Job Title: Marine Superintendent Out of Port-Maritime North

Serco is seeking a highly experienced Marine Superintendent to join our team in a key role that will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our Out of Port vessels and operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Lead and manage a team of marine professionals to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vessels and operations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in marine operations and safety.
  • Develop and maintain a positive safety culture and commitment to safety performance improvement.
Requirements:
  • Seagoing experience as a Chief Officer (minimum) in the previous 3 years.
  • Hold a Chief Officer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (as a minimum).
  • Experience as a Lead ISM Auditor.
  • Comprehensive, up to date knowledge of UK Statutory Regulations / Classification Regulations and their application.
  • Ship Security Officer experience.
  • Company Security Officer experience.
  • Explosive Responsible Officer Course.
