We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Superintendent to join our team at Serco. As a key member of our maritime operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Out of Port vessels and operations.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor and improve operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Lead the development and implementation of safety management systems, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to afloat personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the HSEQ Superintendent to ensure a positive safety culture and commitment to safety performance improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, harbour authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Seagoing experience as a Chief Officer (minimum) in the previous 3 years.
- Hold a Chief Officer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (as a minimum).
- Experience as a Lead ISM Auditor.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK Statutory Regulations and Classification Regulations.
- Ship Security Officer experience.
- Company Security Officer experience.
