Aerospace Product Support Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Opportunity

In a bid to advance your engineering skills and become an integral part of the Customer Support organisation, we invite you to join our Aerospace Product Support Engineering Degree Apprenticeship programme at Leonardo SpA.

As a Level 6 Degree Apprentice, you will be trained to become a skilled Product Support Engineer, responsible for maintaining airworthy and available aircraft. You will experience first-hand what it entails to support aircraft for our large customer base, with disciplines varying from Repair Design, Tooling Design, Fault Investigation and Project Managing solutions.

Through this five and a half year programme, you will undergo rotations across the Customer Support directorate, mostly within Product Support Engineering, with placements ranging from 3-6 months. This will give you a comprehensive understanding of our operations and enable you to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in engineering principles, with knowledge/experience of CAD/AM/Composites and Cobotics. Your thirst for continuous improvement, eye for detail, and ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal) are essential qualities that will serve you well in this position. IT skills are also desirable, as you will be working closely with technology-driven systems throughout your apprenticeship.

About the Programme:
Our Aerospace Engineering Degree Apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to excel in the field of aerospace product support. Over the course of your studies, you will complete various modules and qualifications, including a BEng degree, EPA Honours project, and competence qualification in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing. These credentials will not only enhance your skills but also prepare you for a successful career in the industry.
