Job Title: Band 7 Specialist Paediatric Dietitian

This is an exciting opportunity to join our paediatric dietetic team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic registered dietitian with excellent communication and team working skills to grow and develop our paediatric outpatient service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a specialist nutrition and dietetic service to children attending the outpatient clinic service, including allergy diagnosis and management, gastrointestinal issues, nutritional assessment, and limited diet.
  • Coordinate service improvement projects within paediatric dietetics, working closely with the team lead.
  • Represent the dietetic department at MDT meetings, ensuring delivery of co-ordinated multi-disciplinary care.
  • Oversee the management of patients assigned to the dietetic assistant practitioner in the paediatric team.
  • Contribute to the effective running of the paediatric dietetics service, ensuring high-quality care and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with HCPC as a registered Dietitian.
  • Paeds training.
  • Evidence of general dietetic experience in a range of areas.
  • NHS experience.
  • Sound knowledge in paeds and dietetics.
  • Familiarity with a paeds ONS and nutritional products.
