Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Culinary Support Staff Member to join our kitchen team in St Helens, United Kingdom. As a Catering Assistant, you will assist in the preparation and serving of food to customers, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing high-quality food dishes under the guidance of our experienced chefs, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring all food items are stored correctly.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and ovens, to ensure efficient food service.
- Stock Control: Help with stock control and restocking supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Sustainability: Assist with food waste management and recycling efforts to minimize our environmental footprint.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is an advantage.
- Food Hygiene Knowledge: Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and cleanliness to maintain high standards in food preparation and presentation.
