This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker and effective communicator to amplify the university's national and global visibility, showcasing its rich history, distinctive educational approach, impactful research and innovation, and inclusive campus environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement multi-faceted communications and marketing programs to increase brand awareness and promote WPI's research and innovation accomplishments.
- Lead a team of professionals to support and develop people, and implement strategies that powerfully communicate the university's outsized impact and unique educational experience.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to build relationships within the university community and promote a culture of creativity, collaboration, inclusion, problem-solving, innovation, high performance, and change-making.
- Stay up-to-date with the changing nature of communications, marketing, media, and technology, and be able to communicate and engage diverse audiences within this rapidly evolving environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in building and leading teams, supporting and developing people, and implementing multi-faceted communications and marketing programs for an organization with many audiences.
- High emotional intelligence, intercultural competence, and a collaborative and collegial nature.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and be data-driven, focused on metrics.
