About the Role

Simarco International Limited is seeking a skilled Import Customs Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth importation of goods into the UK and Europe.

The successful candidate will have experience with customs applications such as CHIEF, CNS, Destin8, NCTS, NES etc. and a good understanding of ETSF warehouse processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities include signing documents under Power of Attorney on behalf of clients, recognising client commercial invoices and packing lists, and entering details onto specialised Customs software.

Working closely with importers and internal colleagues, you will obtain mandatory information for import entries and aid clients in the classification of goods and their importance. You will also arrange the release of goods from Simarco Customs-approved sites and liaise with internal colleagues on release, transport & warehousing issues.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in customs clearance and logistics. As an Import Customs Specialist, you can expect to earn around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
