Safeguarding Midwifery Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced midwife to lead our safeguarding team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about protecting women and their babies throughout the pregnancy continuum.

The successful post holder will work closely with the Trust's Senior Management Team to develop and implement safeguarding strategies that meet the Trust's statutory responsibilities.

Main duties include:

  • Lead the safeguarding team in developing and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and partner agencies to identify and address safeguarding concerns.
  • Develop and deliver safeguarding training programs for frontline staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on safeguarding policies and procedures.

The salary for this position is approximately £41,000 per annum, based on the Trust's salary scales. Benefits include:

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Relevant degree or evidence of further study and experience to the equivalent.
  • Up-to-date professional portfolio demonstrating evidence of personal and professional development.
  • Conversant with NMC Rules governing practice.
  • Registered Midwife.
