About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Midwife to join our Perinatal Trauma and Loss Service. The successful candidate will work closely with a Principal and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to support the delivery of this specialist service.

The role involves triaging and assessing mental health difficulties in the context of perinatal trauma and loss, as well as monitoring and managing mental health and safeguarding risk. You will deliver psychologically informed interventions to individuals or groups and work across a variety of settings to deliver care.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the mental health needs of women and knowledge of person-centred and trauma-informed care and its application. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and respond to mental health and safeguarding risk.
  • Deliver psychologically informed interventions to individuals or groups.
  • Work across a variety of settings to deliver care, including home addresses, children's centres, and healthcare sites.

The estimated salary for this role is £34,000 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience.
