About Our Nursery
Bright Horizons First Class Day Nursery and Preschool in Aberdeen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third in Charge to join our team. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and education to our children.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver outstanding results and meet the needs of each child.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required, ensuring the day-to-day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to support the well-being of our children.
- Promote the nursery to current and potential customers, supporting retention and occupancy growth.
- Maintain commercial success by managing expenditure and budget KPIs.
- Engage with the Local Authority to understand the local offer and inform practice at the nursery.
Requirements
- Fully qualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years (essential).
- Previous experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator.
- Strong decision-making skills and experience providing leadership and support to others.
- Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children.
- Able to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues and parents.
- Effective communication skills for working with children and adults.
About You

- Above industry standard salary: £28,894 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience).
