Salary and Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of £52,737 per annum, plus overtime pay. With a basic hourly rate of £20.65, you can expect to earn in excess of £55,000 - £60,000 per year. Additionally, you will have access to a range of benefits, including annual bonuses and opportunities for professional development.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our client's team on a Monday-Friday early/day shift rotation. As a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking
- Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection
- Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertaken in a timely manner
- Undertake MOT inspections along with preparations
- Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements
- Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completed an HGV Technician apprenticeship
- Supervisory experience
- Hold City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three qualifications
- Your own tools
- A full UK driving license
- Class 1 license would be beneficial but isn't essential for this role
