Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Clayton Hotel Birmingham. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and contributing to the production of excellent food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining high standards of food quality.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and mentoring junior staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring alignment with hotel standards and customer preferences.
  • Assist in the management of kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Contribute to the success of our conferences and events offerings, working closely with the events team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef in a hotel or similar establishment, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
  • Unwavering commitment to quality, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards in food preparation and presentation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of culinary professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
