Superintendent Radiographer General X-ray

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced radiographer to lead our General X-ray department at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a Superintendent Radiographer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring high standards of patient care and imaging quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a team of radiographers and ensuring they are working within the department's protocols.
- Allocating shift duties and prioritizing emergency requests.
- Coordinating the workload to ensure efficiency and timely completion of scheduled appointments.
As a leader in our department, you will be responsible for promoting a patient-focused service, ensuring high standards of patient care and imaging quality. You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing waiting lists, working towards reducing waits and ensuring compliance with government guidelines.

Main Duties of the Job- Take full responsibility for the management and operational issues of the General/Fluoroscopy/Dental x-ray, including cone beam CT and DEXA service.
- Take the lead in promoting and delivering a highly tailored patient-focused service, ensuring high standards of patient care and imaging quality.
- Take responsibility for regular monitoring and management of any relevant waiting lists and proactively work towards reducing any waits in a consistent way, ensuring compliance with government guidelines.
- Provide professional line management of the static (and where appropriate rotational) radiographic staff in theses modalities and, if required, administrative staff, providing mandatory Personal Development Review (PDR) to ensure staff are fulfilling their work requirements.
- Undertake clinical imaging duties.
