Superintendent Radiographer General X-ray Specialist

Great Ormond Street Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Radiographer to lead and deliver the General X-ray department service. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Diagnostic Imaging and Paediatric Radiography, with experience in leadership and management.
Main Responsibilities- Take full responsibility for the management and operational issues of the General X-ray department, including cone beam CT and DEXA service.
- Lead the development and implementation of a highly tailored patient-focused service, ensuring high standards of patient care and imaging quality.
- Monitor and manage waiting lists, working proactively to reduce waits and ensure compliance with government guidelines.
- Provide professional line management to radiographic staff, including mandatory Personal Development Reviews.
- Undertake clinical imaging duties and manage the unit on a daily basis, prioritizing and coordinating emergency requests.
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- HCPC Radiographer Registration.
- Substantial experience in Diagnostic Imaging, including Paediatric Radiography.
- Demonstrable experience in leadership and management.
- Knowledge and awareness of clinical governance, quality assurance, and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Experience of teaching and supervising junior diagnostic imaging professionals.
- Understanding of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Working knowledge of PACS and Electronic Records System (EPIC) system.
