About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Dietetic Service Lead to join our team in Acute Nutrition Support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Clinical Lead Dietitians, working closely with our acute Dietetic leads, CNS nutrition nurses, professional practice nurses, and Malnutrition strategic lead to ensure Malnutrition is a key priority embedded operationally across acute pathways Health Board wide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Clinical Lead Dietitians working in Acute Nutrition support HB wide
  • Lead on recruitment and development plans and workforce opportunities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the development of Nutrition support teams HB wide to optimise patient care and safety in line with NICE Clinical guideline 32 (2007)
  • Set the direction of travel for Acute nutrition support and pro-actively lead and support clinical leads with performance reporting
  • Work closely and alongside the clinical lead for Acute nutrition support (critical care) based in Glangwili Hospital as well as our acute clinical leads HB wide

Requirements
  • Degree in Dietetics
  • Professional registration with the HCPC
  • Master's level qualification relevant to the role
  • Extensive experience of team leadership including multi-professional team working
  • Experience of leading project / improvement / service change work, with the ability to demonstrate value and outcomes
  • Established line management experience including registered and unregistered staff and delegation
Language Skills

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. If you do not meet the Welsh Language requirements specified, the Health Board offers a variety of learning options and staff support to help you meet these minimal desirable requirements during the course of your employment with us.
